Adding Error
Since starting this Substack, I’ve sent out a lot of posts with typos. That includes the most recent one. Because some of you have reached out, concerned for my wellbeing, I’d like to clarify that I am not, in fact, recovering from addition. I’ve never been good enough at math to have formed an addiction. And though math certainly poses problems for people like me, I’m still very much committed to addition. And subtraction, if you must know.
If you or someone you know is struggling with an addiction to addition, I suggest you reach out to your local Math Anonymous group.
In the meantime, I’m seeking help from those who have recovered from Impulsive Email-Sending Syndrome.
May we all find the help we need.
